A letter of gratitude

I wish to Thank God for showering me, with so much love.

My parents Jyotsna Singh and Raj Kishore Prasad are the best gift I have got. They went beyond their capacity to nurture us. Our mom and dad fulfilled all our wishes by killing even their smallest desires. The picture of the day when my mom took a loan of Rs 5000 from her colleague to buy me a camera for my Journalism will always be there in front of my eyes. I never saw her buying a single saari for herself. She was contented with whatever she got from others.
Our parents taught us to take our own decisions and always stood by us in whatever we did.

When my family wanted me to get married, God sent an angel in the form of Ankit who is my shoulder in times of pain and pleasure. The best thing about Ankit is that he has shown full trust in me and has given me complete freedom to lead my life the way I want. Getting a husband who respects and values your passion is rare to find, at least in Indian society where women are always supposed to stand behind the man and not equal or ahead of him. As part of my mission ‘Ecoplore’, I travel to different places, stay in hotels and houses of friends and strangers, be with people who are not even known to Ankit. I am lucky to have a husband who never stops me in pursuing my dream.

Along with Ankit, God gifted me a new family, his parents and his brother, all of whom also became my pillars of support. Although in the beginning, my relations with my in-laws were a bit tough but gradually it has smoothened. They showered their love and showed their patience and I learnt my lessons.

With God’s grace, I have a great bonding with both my brother and sister. Me and my sister Geetanjali fight a lot but we know that our fights are filled with lot of love. Thank you God for gifting us with a brother like Roshan who is one of the most emotional man I know and wishes to get rid of all his emotions. As Geetanjali says, our brother is very big hearted. He can donate or offer anything he possesses.

I Thank God for connecting me to Maria who set before me a real life example of a true friend. We met in college and have successfully completed 11 years of friendship.

Thank you God for connecting me to all the volunteers of Anna movement and Aam Aadmi Party. And, Thank you for making me meet innumerable souls who are working for the betterment of humanity.

Thank you for writing my destiny the way you wanted. It has always been better than what I wished for!
