When Spirituality meets Materialism

Just want to share an experience with Isha Yoga Foundation. The foundation persuaded my husband Ankit Lal to do free digital marketing and get a Twitter trend done on the Mahashivratri. Ankit got the Twitter trend done thinking he is working for a good cause and was allured that he would get the project for Digital and Social media marketing for Isha Foundation. After successfully getting the twitter trend done which would have costed around Rs 3 lakhs, when Ankit tried to talk about the Digital marketing project, the Isha Foundation asked Ankit to do a course to understand the foundation better. Although, Ankit was least interested in doing the course, I persuaded him to do it as I had heard about its positive experience from Rashmi di and Kapil. Ankit after lot of persuasion agreed to do the Inner Engineering course.

As Ankit had done it's Digital Marketing for free, it was obvious for us that we won't have to pay for the course. But here is the moral of the story. Ankit gets a call from Isha Foundation asking to deposit around Rs 2 to 3K to do the course. We both were shattered to see the cheapness of such a big Isha Foundation.

So, in our eyes Isha and several such religious and spiritual organisations are doing pure business. In the name of religion and spirituality, they are minting money. Sorry to share such a bad experience with Isha. So, now neither Ankit nor me would ever do any course of Isha. May God show them the right path.
