Our austere Marriage

Happy to get married in an austere ceremony on 13 May 2012 with Ankit Lal.

Breaking the boundaries of caste, I and Ankit tied the knot of marriage in a simple ceremony with a budget of around Rs.20,000.
To my joy, the kanyadan was done by Arvind Kejriwal, and that added value to the pious ritual.

Presence of several other selfless activists involved in socio-political reforms filled the mandap with the aura of dedication and service towards others. The gathering of around 100 people dressed in plain regular wears without any show off or formality made the occasion uncommon.

Though our parents were not pat of the ceremony but that does not mean that we are regardless to them. For two months, both of us tried our best to persuade them. The families did accept us but could not accept each other. One of the reasons why our families did not join was the choice of our austerity. We had a memorable beginning of our new life with blessings from pure and united souls. We are grateful to God for its another wonderful gift of life.
Live by example & be the change you want to see!
Thank You God Peace to all

Really impressed. Change dynamics in the system can only be made possible through the participation of youth. God bless you.
